Repeats

Yes! I do REPEATS! If I pay $90 for a dress then hell yea I'm going to wear it again. I don't see what the big deal is of repeating clothes. If I brought them, I'm going to get use out of them. If there is a fashion rule about repeating clothes then please bring it to my attention. I probably wouldn't care because I make up my own rules when it comes to fashion :) I just thought I stress this subject because I have friends who will wear a dress, take pics in it, post them on FB and instagram then when and if they wear the dress again they are afraid of taking pics because they don't want to be seen in the same outfit twice O_o. Like seriously..WHO CARES...I know I don't!!!!

Weight loss journey

So I'm on a weight loss journey....AGAIN! Yes AGAIN! I know they're going to be bumps and wrong turns in this voyage but I plan to make it one hell of a ride. I got a wedding to look good for dammit! I'm not trying to be a size 2 but a comfortable size 12 would work :) My fiancé, his god brother, and I went to the track today and we worked our asses off. I was sweating so hard that it was ridiculous but I loved every moment of it! Working out outside is love to me. The gym can be so blah sometimes. I meant to take a pic of my sweaty face but I forgot lol so this post will have to do for now. But I just wanted to tell y'all about my workout :) I HAVE to lose 10lbs by December 2012. Is this goal attainable......HELL TO THE YEA!!!

Whoever thought that little ole' Monica would be getting married. I was always the type that said "I'm never getting married". I never saw marriage as something I wanted to do. Back then I wasn't in love either. When I met my fiance' it wasn't love at first sight. I actually thought he was ugly LoL. As time went on and we got to know each other love started to flow between us. Through all his ex girlfriend drama, his flaws, and my flaws...love conquered. 5 1/2 years later we are now engaged and I couldn't ask for a better man. I love my man with all my heart!!! He is my lover, my best friend, my companion, my husband to be!

Different Fashion

I'm so not in the loop sometimes and I'm fine with that. I don't want to blend in with everybody else. I like to be different. Instead of following trends, I like to make them my own. Being different is not always a bad thing. Seeing the same old things gets boring and I get bored easily. So mixing, dipping, and dabbing is my type of fashion sense.

Comfort at its best

Heels are not everything. Sometimes a chick just wants to be comfortable. I would throw on some flats over heels any day. Recently, I brought these leopard  oxfords from 6pm.com for $69.99. I'm trying to step up my oxford game. I LOVE oxfords. They're so stylish and unique. You can pair them with almost anything and they're so comfy. I got leopard because I wanted a leopard flat since I already have leopard sandals (Love those). Leopard is in this season and match anything..well to me anyway. When it comes to style I really don't care because My Style is just that.... My Style!

I worry to much

Why do I worry so much? I will give myself anxiety from worrying so much about family, friends, or just something that is or has happened in my life. I try to let go and let god but I find my mind back on the thing(s) I tried to forget. Worrying can be a good thing but in my case I do it so much that it's becoming a bad thing for me. I get anxiety, headaches, pains...etc! Sounds crazy right...lol. So yea I worry a lot *shrugs*!

ohh and my birthday was yesterday, July 16th. I am 25 years old!!! Heyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!! I celebrated and really enjoyed my birthday weekend. Below are some pics of my me and my birthday outfits :D

Blessed

Sometimes I complain, wonder why, and question things but in reality I am honestly blessed. I may not have my BMW 525 or my house on the hill but I do have an 07 Mercury Milan and a 3 bedroom rancher I can call home. Being blessed does not mean having the finer things in life but means just being able to make it by with what you have. I thank God every chance I get for everything I have because I could have nothing right now.

I need counseling, no seriously I do. I cannot stop SHOPPING! I feel like each paycheck I have to buy at least 2 pairs of shoes and go to the mall when in reality it doesn’t have to be that way. I am an Accounting major so I know how to budget O_o but I love to shop. *Singing* “I get it from my mama* Well my shopping habits have to come to an end, well not an end but my habits need to decrease just a little. I’m engaged so what’s mine is about to become his so something is going to have to give and I hate to say it but it’s going to be SHOPPING!

Instead of shopping for clothes and shoes, I need to start shopping for furniture, house décor, and life insurance plans lol. I’m getting old so my priorities are going to have to be in order. Like my mama always said “Monica, you need to start getting your ducks in a row”  and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. #POW
