7 months & counting

Hey Ya’ll!

Ryla is 7 months, what in the world! Nothing much has changed from month 6 to month 7 besides the following:
  • She has two teeth at the bottom
  • Her hair is growing like crazy
  • She loves to yell “DaDaDaDaDaDa”
  • She had an ear infection in both ears plus the flu
  • She is 16 pounds, 7 oz
  • She is in a size 3 pamper, we increased her milk to 6-7 oz, and she now wears 9-12 month clothes

For month 7 I’m in my feelings because my baby is growing like crazy! Not much to say so enjoy the pics :)

6 Months & Counting

Hey Ya’ll!

I have to do better. I want to update my blog more frequently but the way my extra time is set up..um yea. Hopefully with time, I’ll be able to post more blogs about different topics. This is a lifestyle blog so I want to talk about any and everything.

For now, this blog post is about my Ryla girl. Her 6 month update! At her 6 month appointment Ryla weighed 15lb 15oz and was 26 inches long. Her doctor said she has short legs lol. Ryla can wear 3, 6, 9, 12, and even 18 months clothes and wears a size 2 pamper. Her personality is still chill until she gets hungry or sleepy.  She loves to laugh and smile and she’s still a daddy’s girl. It’s crazy to see how much she is growing. She’s getting into everything and wants to explore more. She isn’t crawling yet and can’t fully turn over but she can turn on her side so we’re working on more tummy time.

Ryla is eating stage 2 baby food 3 times a day and we just buy her baby food. I was going to try making it but naw I changed my mind. She hasn’t started eating table food yet but she has tasted French fries and mashed potatoes and she liked both.  She is still on similac soy and drinks 5oz of milk every 4-5 hours. I may increase it to 6oz because after 5oz Ryla girl be looking at me like where the rest of the milk at.  Surprisingly, at 6 months Ryla has her first tooth. It hasn’t fully came in yet but it’s about half way there. It’s so cute when she smiles because you see that white tooth poking through! Her teething wasn’t bad at all. She had the usual drool and wanting to bite on everything but she never caught a fever, wasn’t whiny, didn’t seem like she was in pain at all. The tooth just “popped” up. Hopefully, all the rest of her teeth will come in the same way.

Her sleeping habits are pretty much the same. She may sleep through the night some nights or may wake up for a bottle and then go right back to sleep. She goes down between 7:30-8 and wakes up around 7am. Next week if all goes well Ryla will be sleeping in her crib! Ryan and I need our room back. She doesn’t sleep in the bed with us but sleeps in a pack n play beside our bed so when she goes down for bed or for naps our room is practically off limits. We need our space back!!!  Ryla girl has a comfy crib in her own nice room that she needs to be sleeping in. We have monitors and stuff, they just have to be hooked up and tested.

Welp! That pretty much sums up Ryla girl 6 month update. Enjoy the pics and stay tuned for more blog posts :)
