25 week pregnancy update

Hey Ya'll!

Ryla with her legs crossed

HOW IS BABY RYLA?!?

Baby Ryla is doing great! As of 24 weeks, 1 day she was 1 pound, 8 ounces. She is growing at a great pace and is still a busy body. She is currently breeched but hopefully with time she will turn her precious self into the right position.

HOW AM I DOING!?!
I am doing great. I am currently 25 weeks, 2 days. I still crave all things sweet but overall, I'm doing pretty darn good.

SYMPTOMS
Still no morning sickness, still have shortness of breath, I get dizzy sometimes if I stand for long periods of time, my saliva built-up has decreased,  and my restless leg syndrome is at an all-time high. I’m still experiencing round ligament pain, feet getting swollen ( I can't fit any of my shoes smh), and increased trips to the restroom. Since Ryla is breeched, her head is in my ribs so when she’s doing her Tae Bo mixed with Kung Fu my rib area kind of hurts so that was some getting used to.

With restless leg syndrome my legs go numb and start to ache if I’m laying or sitting down for long periods of time. It wakes me up in the middle of the night almost every day so I when I wake up I just have to stretch my legs out and change positions in the bed then I usually just fall back asleep.

Also, I’m no longer at risk for Placenta Previa!!! I had a follow-up ultrasound at my last appt and my placenta moved into its right position! So, that’s a relief.

A new symptom I'm experiencing is heartburn. As the weeks go by I'm noticing that it is getting worse and and worse with every meal I eat. It's not to the point where I'm popping Tums every 10 minutes but with its progression I may be headed into that direction. I just take it week by week and hopefully it subsides. If not, Ryla better have hair down her back at birth lol because the old wives tales state that if you have heartburn during pregnancy your baby will have a lot of hair so we'll see!

Mother's Day. I was 24 weeks, 4 days

OTHER STUFF
Being pregnant hasn’t been that bad since I'm over the morning sickness bump. There may be challenges and I've faced some but I know the outcome will heavily outweigh everything that comes along with pregnancy. I also got my breast pump! Through my health insurance I got a free Mandela pump in style advanced breastpump starter set. There were 2 free ones to choose from and two advanced styles where I would have had to pay a little bit extra for so I opted for the free one because it provided me with what I really needed. For the extra stuff I'll just put on my baby registry.

I only have 15 weeks lefts in my pregnancy so now we are working on the nursery and yall know I’m involved with the planning of my baby shower :)

I can’t wait to hold my precious Ryla, show her unconditional love,  and of course
dress her up in polka dots and bows!
