My Christmas Holiday!

Hey Ya’ll!!

I hope everybody had a great Christmas Holiday! I know I did although I was sick. I've been on vacation this whole week and this whole week I've been sick but I didn't let my sickness put a damper on my Christmas spirit because I love Christmas. Getting gifts, being around your family, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ…nothing gets better than that.

Christmas Day
As for gifts I got everything I wanted. The main item I wanted was a Kindle and I got it thanks to my boo!! My boo and I celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve since he had to work Christmas day. We both got each other everything we asked for which was great!
Christmas Eve "GO REDSKINS"!!!
My family has Christmas Dinner on the Saturday after Christmas since some of my family is out of town in other states. My grandma had 11 children so when we get together we get together! The house be packed and food be everywhere. The “grown ups” draw names on Thanksgiving and exchange gifts at Christmas dinner since it’s so many of them. The name thing usually doesn’t work because somebody is going to buy gifts for EVERYBODY LoL but they still draw names every year. After we eat and gifts are exchanged my fam just enjoy each other’s company. I love being around my fam especially my cousins because when we get together the laughs are endless. We are all like brothers and sisters and I love that about us.

So that’s a little bit of what went down in my family over the Christmas Holiday. I hope everybody got everything they wanted and more!!! What are your plans for New Year’s? New Year’s Eve I’ll be in church. I want to start 2013 of right because I have a lot of plans for 2013 and what better way to start it off than by being in the house of the Lord!

Stay tuned for future posts…byeee!!!

"I Found My Man But I Still Need My Girls"

Hey Ya’ll!!!

I’m still in ahh that I will be married in less than a year. The thought of marrying the man of my dreams is so surreal to me but it’s really happening! My wedding day is quickly approaching, August 17th, 2013 and I have so many things to do. I’m sure as the New Year comes around that I’ll start to get really busy with wedding planning and everything that comes along with it. I can’t wait for it all!

I have 7 bridesmaids, maid of honor, and matron of honor. That seems like a lot but my family is used to big weddings. I have lots of close cousins and three best friends so I couldn’t pick and choose who to be in my wedding so I just made all of them bridesmaid’s lol, along with some ladies from Ryan’s family. All of the girls in my wedding party are very important to me so it was hard to choose. To make all the girls well acquainted with each other I want to do fun little activities where we all can come together to just mingle and get to know one another. Our families have really never met so it’ll be good to see two sides come together. I have some activities already in mind that I want to kickoff at the beginning of the year. I can’t wait for all the girls to meet and start to enjoy each other's company. I’m sure everyone will get along.

Stay tuned to see what activities I have in store for the girls and if you have any ideas comment below!! Also, check out Ryan and I wedding website --> andersoncary.ourwedding.com

Natural Hair Update and Weekend Fun

Hey Ya’ll!!!

Hope all is well! I've really had a great weekend. Friday night I went to the Kevin Hart show which was hilarious and last night was epic so today I’ve just been chilling in my lounge clothes. Last night my friends and I celebrated my homegirl birthday in Northern, VA. Let's just say if they could've spiked the meatballs they would've lol but it was mad fun!! Love my girls!! Today I’ve applied to a few jobs, looked at some wedding stuff, and browsed some online stores.

So let's talk about this natural hair of mines. My hair is soooooo…ugh! I love being natural but it’s hard work. I’ve been natural since 2010 and I’ve cut my hair twice. My hair is finally past my ears and the back is to the end of my neck. I mostly use Shea Moisture products, eco styler gel, and I have recently fallen in love with coconut oil and argon oil. Those two oils make my hair feel so soft and moisturized.

In my last blog post I’ve vowed to not wear weave. Currently, the only weave I wear is when I put my hair in a bun style so that’s not too bad. Weave has made my hair grow a lot but it’s putting a hurting on my edges. My poor little edges..lol!!!! But in due time they will grow back so I’m not worried. Not wearing weave made me realize that styling natural hair can be difficult. Having to twist my hair every night and untwisting in the morning…sheesh and can you say time consuming. In the end though I know it will all be all worth it when I have a gorgeous head full of thick, healthy hair :)

Stay tuned for more of my natural hair updates!
